Meredith Welfel’s bio
A graduate of VICI: Aveda Institute, Meredith has been committed to the craft of hairdressing since 2004. Before living in Boulder, CO for five years, she participated in advanced training in Shorewood. Meredith is extremely excited to be back in the community in which she began her career.
Meredith provides knowledgeable and creative services for her clients by constantly applying herself to new classes and industry events. She believes wholly in informative product guidance, incredible appointment consultations and achieving desired results for each person.
Her primary focus is on each client’s needs and help achieve results with thorough consultations. She will listen first and provide suggestions if you are uncertain of a direction.
While Meredith excels in a all aspects of hairstyling, she has developed her skills with a razor, is skilled in low maintenance and natural-in-appearance color techniques and gives great attention to coarse and curly hair to provide a broader range of results for her clients. Meredith also produces very successful and personalized results for all clients’ haircuts. More recently, Meredith’s enthusiasm for disguising unwanted grey has led her to create unique and beautiful results, which in turn require less visits to the salon.
Meredith has had wedding hairstyles published in Milwaukee Magazine because of her skill in special occasion hair styles. Meredith has also had makeovers televised. Her ability to communicate her knowledge has led her to conduct classes for her peers as well. In the past, Meredith was chosen to work with Sephora to create brand awareness for a respected hair product line.
Meredith attended Bumble and Bumble University in Manhattan from June 2009 to February 2013. There, she participated in classes including intensive and detailed hair cutting, classic and tasteful hair color, blow dry styling techniques and educator training that focused on communication and class facilitation. She credits much of this education to her skill set that she has today.
All hair services with Meredith include a thorough consultation, scalp massage with shampoo and blow dry. She will gladly share recommendations and techniques to achieve a desired look at home.
